ABOUT US
The Kansas City St. Andrew Highland Dancers have a long tradition of carrying on the Scottish Arts in Kansas City. Although the association was founded in the 1970s, we were doing Scottish dancing in Kansas City long before that! We work closely with the Kansas City St. Andrew Pipes and Drums and often perform with the band. The band and dancers in Kansas City are both affiliated with the Kansas City St. Andrew Society and these organizations all aim to educate and spread our love of Scottish arts and culture in Kansas City.
We welcome dancers of all ages and abilities and we encourage anyone who is interested in dancing to come try out one of our Saturday practice sessions. They are free and a great way to get acquainted with Scottish dancing! See our calendar for dates and times. See our teachers page to contact an area teacher and sign up for lessons.
Scottish dancing is great exercise and it's a beautiful art form with a rich history and tradition; not to mention that it's a lot of fun! Come check us out!
