Libby Dyer Lee has been teaching Highland dance in the Kansas City area for over 20 years. She is a life member and fellow of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD). Her students have competed successfully all around the United States, in Canada, and in Scotland, including the United States Inter-regional Championships and the prestigious Sadie Simpson Scholarships.

 

She is currently accepting students on a limited basis.

Rhianna Rice

Rhianna Rice is a premier dancer with the KCSAHDA. She has danced throughout the United States. Notably in 2012, she represented the Southwest Region at the United States Inter-Regional (USIR) Championship. She is a certified instructor through the British Association Teachers of Dancing (BATD). She opened her dance school in 2017 and has a passion for teaching young dancers. Her other accomplishments include serving in executive roles of the KCSAHDA and the KC Saint Andrew Society.

Brooke is a member of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) and former treasurer of the Kansas City St. Andrew Highland Dance Association. She switched to Highland dancing from ballet and jazz at age 15. Brooke trained and competed in the Midwest region of Highland dancing in Michigan and studied ballet during her summers at Interlochen Fine Performing Arts camp. During her 4 years at Lyon College in Batesville, AR, she was head of the Lyon College Lads and Lassies’ Highland dance program. She has been teaching Highland dance for nearly 10 years and also loves to instruct Scottish Country dancing.

Sarah McKee has been a British Association of Teachers of Dance (BATD) certified instructor since 2003. She is a full member in both Highland and Scottish National dance. Her accomplishments as a dancer include 10 qualifications to United States Inter-Regional (USIR) Championships, 9 of those as Southwest Regional champion/winner. She has also competed and placed in competitions throughout Scotland and was selected for the prestigious Sadie Simpson Scholarship competition twice. In addition to teaching Highland dancing, she also has a Master's of Education in K-12 art and is an active teacher with the Blue Valley School District.

Margaret Bristow is a British Association of Teachers of Dance (BATD) certified instructor. She has taught Highland dance for nearly 15 years and is currently a teacher, and member of the Kansas City St. Andrew Highland Dance Association, as well as a former president of the organization. She taught Scottish Highland Dance as a P.E. college credit for four years at Lyon College in Batesville, AR, as part of the Scottish Heritage Program.
